I met Mr and Mrs. Fetaz, and the rest of the Fetaz family, at a family reunion in 2005 when I was dating her daughter Suzanne. I had a wonderful time! I saw Mr. and Mrs. Fetaz a few months later when they came to visit Suzanne in their motorhome. Once again, we had a great time. May God bless the Fetaz family as they grieve.

We were sad to hear about Collette’s passing. She was a great lady and neighbor. My mom and dad cherished her and now they are giggling together in heaven. Our heartfelt and sincere condolences and hugs go out to the family.

I hold dear memories of Collette. As a child, visiting our cousins “across the field” was always very exciting to me, and despite the bustling household of kids, she was always kind and patient. I know my mom always valued her friendship amidst the solitude of prairie farm life. Collette's embodiment of her Catholic faith shone through her acts of kindness, generosity, and love. May your heart find solace in the abundance of beautiful memories she leaves behind.

I have many fond memories visiting at the Fetaz farm; always excited to see the cousins, and soaking up the loving hospitality that Uncle Armand and Aunt Colette afforded to us all. Colette was a strong Catholic influence and presence in the community and I admired her love for her Lord and His people. God bless her for bringing the joy of music to us and how she passed it down to her beautiful family. May she rest in peace.
With prayer and love,
Therese (Dumas) McDonald, Glen, Maria, Stephen, Luke, Bernadette (Gabriele and Chiara).

We were camping at Writing on Stone Park, and who should show up, unplanned: Colette! Would have been amazing enough to run into her at Bigknife, but waaaay down there?! Mom was so happy to see her. Rest in peace Aunt Colette.

Dear Marie, Charmaine, Paul, Susanne, Gerard, Theresa, Yvonne, Roger and Leon. I regret that I am not able to join you tomorrow to celebrate your Mom's life. I feel for all of you and your partners and your children and their children! Aunty Colette led a true life of service to her family and her community and her gift of music to others spanned decades. She had a beautiful smile and I am so grateful I got to see it shine recently. My last memory of her will be of us singing Edelweiss with her in that hospital lounge! I wish you all well on your grieving journey. Rest in Peace Colette. Love Lorraine

I was 5 years old when Colette got married, and I thought she was the most beautiful bride ever!
And in my late teens, I remember going over to Auntie Colette's house to help out with housework when she was busy raising her large family. I'd pester her to come play the piano, and she would always obligingly leave what she was doing (washing dishes, changing diapers, or cooking) and come sit down at the piano. I loved to hear her sing "Ave Maria", "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" and "I Went to Your Wedding." She was so good natured and never too busy to make music, and I loved her for it!

One of my favourite memories with Auntie Colette is a trip to France in 1989, along with Armand, Bernard and mom and dad. We had been invited to a Fetaz Reunion in the little Savoie village of St. Pierre d’Entremont. At the Reunion dinner, I was so grateful that Colette’s beautiful voice “saved” the Canadian Fetaz branch from embarrassment—the Canadians had been challenged to sing a few songs. However, we were instantly reluctant to do so given that many of the Fetaz relatives had already demonstrated the harmony of their melodious voices. Colette stepped up and sang an unrehearsed song (The Blue Canadian Rockies) and received rousing applause. They were delighted with her. Days later, we drove to the little village of Argentine where her dad was born. Colette was thrilled to tour the area and visit with Cordel relatives. I’ll always be grateful for the lovely memories of that trip with her. And the memories of so many camping trips . . .

It is impossible not remember fondly the beautiful lady making the lovely sound coming from the organ at Notre Dame. Such a dedicated soul and lovely neigbour. Her influence in the community was significant and I can hear easily her contagious laughter. My deep condolences to her loved ones.
