Dear family,
By the look of the obituary, there will be many souls missing this great lady. I first met Howard and Betty in their home back in 1968 when I was doing some university work near Eston and I was invited to spend the night in their home. Over the years, as I spent my life in the work of the gospel, I received many, many encouraging, hand-written letters from Howard. After Howard passed away, Betty took up the torch. I received many caring letters from Betty while I’ve been sharing the same gospel here in Vietnam. She was one of my “hundred mothers.” All of her letters always included spiritual thoughts expressing the desire to keep faithful in the way of God. She always kept an interest in the farming operations of her children and grandchildren. She never really left the farm! Stanley sharp used to say, “precious memories had to be arranged for ahead of time.” Betty has left you with many of them.
