Who would know when we stopped in to see Bob about building a house in August 1980, that we would end up with a house in the country and a lifetime of friendship with Bob and Georgina, Rick and Cindy lots of time was spent at the table with coffee and tea and catching up , the kids would be watching movies and popcorn , sometimes the girls would let Rick eat the popcorn ….they were very kind to Rick I learned so much from Georgina with her garden and chickens and baking and Allan would be with Bob when the house was being built and then after lots of times when we would visit Bob would be out in his shed working on various wooden items ,and Allan would tell me of what Bob was doing and we just marvelled at his knowledge from furniture to toys his workshop did them all ….it was fun visiting sometimes after I had the store in Big Valley they would drive down on a Sunday and when the train left town we would go for pie and coffee and catch up on the news of the kids etc. They talked us into going dancing with them and we did go a few times to Linda Hall , we liked watching them dance , it was so fast and we were so slow ,so we didn’t go dancing too often …but we will miss Georgina as everyone will such a welcoming smile they had when we would meet …Rick and Cindy and families, I feel it was too soon for them to go but it was their time and we all have the memories and we will have to bring some of the stories up in our families so we don’t forget and they carry forward ..we send our love and when we are together we will get the hugs .
