My Grandpa was always kind to me. I remember following him around while he took care of the animals. He even sat me up on top of the big bull he had. He would take me for walks on the farm. I used to enjoy going with him to check the mole traps. I remember one time he was upset because a weasel had made its way into the trap and weasels were good. They took care of mice and other pests. Grandpa was the only grandpa I ever had. I never new my grandpa from my moms side. I miss him and Grandma both. Grandpa gave me his medals. I was always interested in seeing them when I was young and I was honoured that he gave them to me. I show them to everyone who enters our house and tell them he was a hero who bravely fought in WW2.
