I am sad for you that Jim has passed. I will always remember events of growing up in the same culdesac as a kid, learning from Val and Jim how, and how often to care for new flooring;) and Jim always saying "Hello" with a nod and a smile no matter what!...because that was Jim; Friendly, and kind. Now very much missed.
Take care,
Nicole Stratulate

Val and Family,
We were deeply saddened to hear of Jim's passing. We have known Jim for 52 years as we met him as the new owner of Nicoll Flooring. Some of the tiling that he had done for us is still in service. We have many memories of both business and family social interactions. It was always fun to chat with Jim as he had a very pleasant disposition and would often have jokingly funny responses and comments. We will miss Jim and our pleasant interactions.
We extend our sincere condolences to you and your family.
With deepest sympathy'

So sorry to hear of your loss. I will always hold dear to me our standard greeting, "Hello Mr. Robbins" with a response, "Hello MIss Beier" with a head nod and the large smile he always carried on his face. Seems rather insignificant, but I was always happy to see him when we would cross paths when I would go back to Stettler. Val, Brad, Ryan and Greg, take care of each other, and know that your Dad was loved very much, and his presence in the community meant so much, to so many people. Sending my love, Heather

Much love to you guys. Jim was one of the best humans I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. His kind heart and joking manner will be missed by many. My favourite memories of him are those of him giving my boys a hard time and wrestling at family functions. His smile will surely be missed.
Sending love, hugs and our deepest condolences,

Val, Brad, Ryan, Greg and family,
I sit here today, almost without words for what this man was. To say he was a kind soul is an understatement, to say he had a great sense of humor does not do him justice. Jim's love for life, and those around him was immense. Jim always found good in everything, (unless you did not give him that "gimme"..) Jim always had a sharp wit, and would take on the sharpest in any situation. Jim always had time for those he loved and respected, and you felt full after each interaction with this kind man. Jim, "your away" as we would say on the tees, after he announced he parred that last hole, after one in the water, two in the bunker, a long missed putt, followed up by a gimme. Today Jim, "your away", and will be missed but not forgotten.
Love Doug, Jackie & Ethan Olive

Space would not nearly permit recalling the great times and memories shared with Sir Jim. Whether it was on the ice, hauling young hockey stars around in the ol' white Dodge, skiing, or at the rodeo with Ol' White full o' guys in Edmonton, Jim could always be counted on for a witty observation and reply. Always something to grin his memorable grin about. Even the last time I snuck into his hospital room to see him and got heck from the nurses, he had a smile and a giggle about that. This world is indeed a poorer place without Jim in it.
