Time on the farm included haying, bale hauling and combining, where everyone had a job doing something. If you weren’t big enough to touch the pedals or brake you made due by standing up or whatever worked to get the job done. As the boys got older, Bill and Louise took many trips south with friends ending up as far south as Arizona, traveling all over the western States. They never once travelled on an airplane. They continued the friendships at home playing cards and visiting with many good neighbors.
