Bill Armstrong was a wonderful, warm, funny but true gentleman. I just learned today that he passed away in early March around the same time as my father, Wilf Hewlett. Through my teen years, I had the great fortune to spend time with Steve and his wonderful parents. Bill would unmercifully tease girls around Steve -- a trait that now shines in his son. Both are able to make us blush and laugh. I wish I would have had the wit I have today... it would be a joy to hear him laugh again. My condolences to Louise and the entire Armstrong Family. I like to think that Bill and Wilf are keeping things lively in heaven together.

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Armstrong. Bill will be sadly missed; he leaves a legacy built on honor and integrity, worthy of any great man. Not only Bill's large family is left to mourn his passing, but the entire Erskine community will feel his loss. Cherie and I are unable to attend Bill's service, but our thoughts and prayers will be with you.

We are deeply saddenned by Bill's passing. I first met Bill when I started working for Starling & Innocent in the parts department and later through his family. He was one of the many regulars who came in for coffee daily. His daily visits inevitably grew into a friendship. Over the years our respect for each other grew. When I left the dealership ten years later, it felt like I was leaving family as that is how he treated me. He will be missed.

I was very fortunate to know Bill from my early days in the area which is now almost 40 years ago. He was a large part of the Erskine community that always made me feel welcome. It was my privilege to have known Bill and most of his family. My sincere condolences.
