Belated condolences to Bob's family. We were in many classes together in Stettler and enjoyed a healthy competition. He will be missed.

I'm saddened to learn of Bob's passing.
We both attended Camrose Lutheran College from 1973 to 1974. We were classmates in a number of courses, including physics as well as differential and integral calculus. He was often the one who scored the highest on the exams.
I remember him as being quiet but also kindly and devout, regularly attending the daily on-campus chapel services. He and I often sat together at meals in the college cafeteria and we often chatted with each other. If I recall correctly, he lived on campus in what we called Old Main in those days and he shared a room with several other students.
After finishing our freshman undergraduate year, we both transferred to the University of Alberta. He went on to study commerce, while I continued in mechanical engineering. Understandably, our paths rarely crossed after that as each of us spent our time in different parts of the campus and, eventually, we lost touch with one another.
He was one of the people who made my time at CLC such a memorable experience. Farewell, Bob, and thank you.

My sincere condolences to your family. So very sad to hear of Bob’s passing, but am glad to have been able to re-connect with him a few days earlier and get one last lesson. One of the smartest, kindest and most genuine people I have ever met and a real credit to his family and the profession. No matter how busy, he was always quick to help, and never forgot to ask how my dogs were doing! Proud to have called him my friend.
Rest in peace Bob.

Please accept my condolences on Bob’s passing. Although I haven’t seen Bob since 1974, I remember him being extremely kind and caring, willing to provide a ride to Camrose Lutheran College and dedicated to his faith, family and intellectual achievements. May God ease your grief and bless you with peace and love.

I knew Bob as a CICA committee member. He had the unique ability to bring together conceptual and practical aspects of issues and his contributions were always well respected by others and often showed us the way forward. A true gentleman, it was an honour to work with him. My condolences to the family.

Bob was not just my performance manager at KPMG but also my guide and mentor. So knowledgeable yet so humble. I learnt so much from him. He was a great friend to all those who knew him. As many have mentioned, he was always ready to help with a smile. A pillar of quiet strength that came from deep expertise in his field and his unshakeable belief in human values. Rest in eternal peace, Bob. You will always be remembered with fondness and gratitude.

Bob was a class act, a true gentleman, and most important, a great friend.
Working with Bob was always an enlightening experience and he never hesitated to share his vast knowledge. You never had to ask him for help, he was already rolling up his sleeves. On the personal side, he always indulged my sharing of numerous photos of my dog (first Zoe, now Marley), that he happily shared with his mother. And when he came over for dinner with my husband and I, he was always sure to arrive with a box of Milk-Bones for our furry friend!
His loss will be felt forever. Rest in peace my friend.

I was so sad to hear of Bob's passing. I got to know him working with him on a committee for the Accounting Standards Board back in 2008 or 2009 and we continued to cross paths from that point forward. He was one of the smartest men I have ever met. When he talked people listened. I learned a lot from him in all our interactions. My condolences to his entire family.

I am very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I met Bob when he was the partner in charge of the external audit of our company, and we continued our business association for many years after that. This past summer, I was honored to attend the ceremony at which Bob received his lifetime achievement award from CPA Alberta. What a wonderful recognition for Bob and it was so well deserved. But, most of all, I will always remember Bob as a kind, thoughtful, and very generous person to all. He was one of the finest gentlemen I have ever known and will be greatly missed by us all. Take care.

Dear Vivian, Nancy, and Brian: I was so saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. Please know that you have been in my thoughts and prayers over these past days. Bob, and your entire family, have been a treasured part of my heritage and history, a great example of faith and faithfulness. I trust that you will all experience the faithfulness of our God in midst of the shadow of the valley. Death has won no victory, for in Christ death has been turned into a servant and ushering a child of God into his very presence. So you grieve, but not as those who have no hope. May God’s blessing and presence be rich in your lives.
In Christ’s love, Terry and Peggy Kaufman

I was very sad to hear of my friends passing. Bob, may you rest in peace. You exemplified all that is good in people and in life. I wish I only knew you more and spent more time with you.
May you enjoy the virtual copies of my OBCA/CBCA consolidated regs in your peace. In my years practicing, you were the only one who cared to read up on the laws that actually governed. You will be missed.
