We were so sorry to hear about Lucille’s passing. Lucille was a truly lovely person. As a youth growing up in Castor, I remember with great fondness the incredible meals Lucille had prepared and shared with our family on festive occasions. I also remember the pride John, Placide and the boys had in showing the latest developments, innovations they had incorporated on the farm.
Joan and I had the good fortune this Fall to spend a very social, entertaining Monday afternoon with Lucille. Lucille, the delightful, gracious host, had put aside her preparation of cabbage rolls and we spent the afternoon digressing on family, past experiences and just getting reacquainted. The topper was coffee and cake (lemon loaf) which of course Lucille had baked herself.
It is with such great shock and sadness we learned of Lucille’s passing and we extend our sincerest sympathy to the Erion and Frey families.
