I used to love going berry picking with Grandma. It was a favorite activity to pick raspberries. We'd race to see who could pick the most berries, or who could fill their bucket the fastest! I still like to go out every fall to pick wild berries or apples, then I freeze, can or bake my bounty into pies, just like grandma taught me!

I met Marcella about 30 years ago when I worked at Lou’s Fashions in Stettler , I had the pleasure to help her for the 15 years that I worked there . She usually called ahead to see if I was working , also dropped in, in a hurry to have an outfit for a special function ….. that she was on the way to . .. She always made me smile …. I always thought her to be a Special Lady . Rhonda van Nieuwkerk

Our hearts go out to all of Auntie Marcella’s family! Treasure all your memories you shared together with your Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma! Auntie Marcella always had a good sense of humor! Whenever asked how she was her response was always, “Orney as ever!” saying it with a smile! She had quite the remarkable life. She will live on in your hearts forever! Sending lots of hugs and prayer, Shane and Heidi

I first met Marcella at the Assisted living, she had just quit working when I started.
We did many showers and picnics and the ball tournaments that were at Talbot.I used to laugh
When she would ask me something, she’d always say your a smart lady.
She was a hard worker always had a beautiful garden and always got my raspberries from her.
I would drive home from work and she would be a mile down the road picking up garbage.
She was a great lady she will be missed.
