James Curtis Nyuli

1999 – 2024

James Curtis Nyuli, passed away suddenly on November 2, 2024, at the age of 25 years. James was born on February 24, 1999, in Stettler, Alberta. He was taken from us far too soon, but he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and an infectious zest for life.

James grew up in Big Valley, Alberta, where he attended school and quickly became known for his intelligence, earning honors through grade 8, and was always a driven student. James continued to William E. Hay Composite High School.

An avid sports enthusiast, James played hockey and football, always giving his all to the teams he was a part of. But it was his passion for longboarding that truly set him apart, showcasing his free spirit and sense of adventure. Whether it was gliding down the streets of Big Valley or spending time with friends, James had a way of turning even the simplest moments into something memorable.

Above all, James had a heart of gold. He was known for his generosity, always putting others before himself and making those around him feel valued. His friends and family remember him for his big smile, infectious laugh, and his unwavering support for those he loved. His kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed.

James is survived by his parents Shaun and Beth Nyuli; sister Megan Watts; brothers Jesse Nyuli and Deven Nyuli; nephews Reign and Samuel; niece Bella; grandma Karen Annable; grandpa Samuel Watts; as well as numerous friends; extended family members, and loved ones who were fortunate to know him.

James was predeceased by Constance Marie Watts and cousin Brett Watts.
