Vivian was a gentle and encouraging soul, and during our time together working at Stettler Elementary School, those qualities shone through every day and during every class. She saw the best in everyone and it was always uplifting to be around her.
We are sorry we were away when her memorial gathering occurred. It would have been wonderful to join in that last tribute.

Brian and Nancy, Jeff, I and the girls were very sad to hear the news of your mother’s passing. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
I have fond memories of spending occasional evenings with your Mom sipping tea and chatting about life in her kitchen in Valley Ridge. She knitted beautiful sweaters and blankets for our two daughters that we have to this day. Emily and Allison also would visit her sometimes and enjoyed the stuffed animals in her piano room. We were honored to be invited to her birthday party. Thank you for the wonderful ways she touched our lives.

Auntie Viva always loved to hear from any of us and she was so interesting to talk to telling us the Charles history.
Will always cherish our times together and having lunch (her buns) and a great visit. One of my greatest memories was her and I took a road trip to Stettler and Wetaskiwin and saw her sister Auntie Adel. We stayed in Stettler over night a hotel and she took me down memory lane. She told me I was the one that named her Auntie Viva, as I was her first Neice on the Charles side and she said I couldn’t say Vivian. She said that her and her Sisters loved to spoil me and made many pieces of clothing for me.
She was a special lady. Loved her dearly. Thanks Auntie Viva for the memories.

Dear Bryan and Nancy:
I was very sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you now at this difficult time. I have many good memories of her both as a teacher and as a colleague when I did some substitute teaching in the schools.

Mrs. Young was one of my teachers in Stettler Elementary. She was strict, but kind. She worked very hard as a teacher, and I respected her a great deal.
My sympathies go out to her family and friends.
Sincerely,
Dawn Rene Finnigan (formerly Tash)
