My first real job was when I left high school 40 years ago worked for Dyck Electric. I remember Ken being a very fair and understanding boss. I learnt so much working for Ken and the other journeyman electricians. Many skills that I still use today, even though I did did not pursue the electrical trade. I will always think of the time spent with Ken with fond memories.

Ken and Donna were my closest friends when I lived in Stettler. I knew they were always there for me if I needed them I really enjoyed our walks around West Stettler Park and shall cherish the memories forever. Ken suffered for so long, but was always his kind, pleasant self. Sam and I are so thankful we were able to spend some time with Ken shortly before his passing. The World is a better place because Ken was in it. He will be missed.

Hugs and prayers are being sent from our families to yours. Our memories of time spent together are everlasting. Ken (working as an orderly at the Auxilally) was the first friend I met when moving to Lloydminster. We introduced our spouses and from then on our friendship began. We all have such fond memories of the great times we spent together over the years. Ken, you will always be remembered by our family. Our deepest condolences to you, Donna, Tanya ,Jamie and families.

Dear Uncle Ken
I know today we say goodbye but I just wanted to let you know that I will miss you. You loved and respected your family. You were thoughtful, fair and loyal. A rock we could all count on. I always knew if I needed you you would be there in a heartbeat. The thing that I will remember and cherish the most is your enduring love for my auntie. So inspiring! Thank you for taking care of her heart for all these years and thank you for being her soulmate. Forever in my heart <3

My family's friendship with Uncle Ken and Aunty Donna goes back many decades, with them being treasured family friends and so much a part of the Patel family's years in Canada, at our home and theirs, and out at the cabin. I was only a baby when we left, but the friendship persisted from across the world via long distance calls and letters. I most fondly remember our visits during winter, when the Dycks would host Christmas at their house. Those times were always what I think family and Christmas should be, surrounded by friends and family and warmth. Through all the years Uncle Ken hasn't changed. He was always smart, funny, friendly and honest. And most of all a role model. Whether it was at home, in the community, or at work.
We've been lucky enough to spend more time with Uncle Ken and Aunty Donna over the last year while we lived in Canada, and even with his health challenges we loved to see that he hadn't changed. He was still smart, funny, friendly and honest, and cared about those around him.
We've only just gotten married, but I hope many decades from now I'll still be as good a husband, father, and person as Uncle Ken was for all those years. We will miss him dearly, but he lives on in the many people whose lives he has positively touched over the years.
Rest in peace.
Love Ankur and Lizia

There are no words that can truly express my love for Uncle Ken. He was one of the best, always there with a smile and a hug. He made me feel so loved.
As a young child, he was my hero, a person I looked up to. Uncle Ken made me feel loved and valued.
I will cherish the many phone calls and visits I had with him. He was truly one of the best.

I have had the honor of knowing Ken most of my life.as part of the family. I have never met a more likeable and honest person in my life. He was completely devoted to his wife and my cousin Donna. .Ken will not be forgotten due to the wonderful memories and long conversations .I have never heard Ken complain even when his health was in decline. He endured with his incredible inner strength. I will terribly miss Ken in my life but I know we will meet again in Heaven.
