Greg Allan Walstrom

September 20, 1982 – May 15, 2024

Greg Allan Walstrom, 41, husband, father and son passed away suddenly at his home on May 15, 2024.

Greg is survived by his wife Chantal, sons Easton and Cash, daughter Teagan, mother and father Guy and Linda Walstrom, brother Scott (Tara-Lee) Walstom, nephews Jaxon, Chase, Colten Walstrom, sister Leanne Walstrom, mother-in-Law, Cori Samida, sister-in-Law Stephanie (Ryan) Derr, nephews Bretton, Quinton, Drayton, sister-in-Law Kirsten (Will) Robinette, brother-in-Law Kaeden Samida, father-in-Law Gerry (Sheila) Pinard and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Greg was born in Stettler, AB on September 20, 1982 to Guy and Linda Walstrom.

Greg became a big brother to Scott and to his sister Leanne.

As a young man, Greg was actively involved in football with the Wildcats, 4-H with sheep & cattle, helping on the family farm and working at Stettler Auction Mart, wherever Greg & Jim needed him.

Greg graduated from William E. Hay Composite High School in 2000.  After Graduation Greg went on to work for DNR, the landfills in Stettler, many livestock auctions & farm sales. One of the last jobs Greg had was in the oil patch. Greg worked hard at everything he did in life, chasing dreams and living life to the fullest.

Greg met Chantal in High School and they married June 16, 2018. They had 3 children Easton 2012, Cash 2015 and Teagan 2017. Greg was actively involved in the children’s lives on the farm, loved going swimming with them and especially going on family trips.

With all of the job experiences Greg found himself back at home, pursuing his passion in farming. He was building his cattle herd, establishing a feedlot, spending long days haying, calving his cows, everything a farmer loves to do. Greg’s peace was his farm and his family. He will forever be missed.

Greg’s celebration of life, will be held at the Stettler Funeral Home on Thursday May 30, 2024 at 1:00pm.
