Ray H. Gadbois

December 16, 1940 – April 7, 2024

Ray will be forever remembered for his passion for tiedown roping, along with his natural ability to train quality horses, many of which took professional cowboys to the pay window and many championships. Ray’s large personality  made him colorful and entertaining in the eyes of many and he enjoyed several years competing in rodeos at a professional level.

Ray spent the last several years residing in the Stettler area, as he commonly referred to as the “Heart of Cowboy Country.”

He loved a good horse, a good dog and his best friend and partner, Carol.

Memorial donations in honour of Ray are gratefully accepted to Stettler Health Services Foundation, Postal Bag 500, Stettler, Alberta T0C 2L0.

A gathering to pay tribute to Ray will be held at a future date, when the grass is stirrup high, and the rivers run free.
