Obituary for Kevin Olhausen

Kevin James Olhausen of Stettler AB, beloved husband of Alison Gale Olhausen passed away suddenly at home on January 17, 2024, at the age of 66 years. Kevin was born in Stettler AB on December 13, 1957, to Albert and Edith Olhausen. Kevin grew up on the family farm and attended school in Erskine AB until high school where he graduated in Stettler AB.

Kevin got his start in oil and gas at Heartland Wireline after graduation. He then moved on to the Nevis Gas Plant where he spent 21 years doing plant maintenance and running the warehouse. He then moved onto being a parts man at various companies before retiring in 2020. Kevin loved playing baseball, curling, golfing and always took so much pride in having the best yard on the block.

Kevin married his high school sweetheart Alison Friesen on June 2, 1979, and they have spent many loving years together. Kevin was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather. He lived for his kids and grandkids, they meant the world to him. Kevin and Alison took many wonderful trips over the years, but his favorite place was always the ocean. He loved walking the beaches, watching the whales and could sit there for hours just watching the waves. Kevin was the most kind and loving person, his infectious laugh would always make us smile. Kevin was and will forever be truly loved and greatly missed by all of us.
