I have known Ruby since elementary school and we had some fun times over the years. Ruby was a genuine person, always pleasant and down to earth. In June 2023 we had a wonderful afternoon visit and outing together. Her sudden passing has left me in total disbelief. She will be truly missed. My deepest sympathy to Kelly, Terry, Cory and families as well as her sisters Marion, Donna and Diane.

We first knew Ruby when our kids were in school together. She was so gracious and always wore a smile. Years later she and Ted moved into the house we built along highway 56. When our daughter was turning 30, our other daughter requested of Ruby and Ted if she and her sister could take a tour around the house they remembered as little girls. "Of course" Ruby said and welcomed them both to take their trip down memory lane through her house. What a treasure has been lost to our community.
She will be missed!!!

Though I did not know Ruby well, she would always take time to chat when we would meet one another while she was out on her daily walks. She was just lovely and made an indelible impression on me. To say we were shocked to hear of Ruby’s health decline and sudden passing is an understatement so sad. Ruby and I grew lived in the same east side neighbourhood in Grande Prairie. Always had such fun together. Saw her last June and she was still the same vibrant positive healthy fun person as always. Ruby was one of my oldest and very dear to my heart friend.I was a bridesmaid for her and Ted so many years ago. Ruby was just a lovely person. We became friends at our winter RV park and have so many great memories of her quick wit and great sense of humour as well as her kind and generous personality. She spoke often of her family and was so proud of her boys and her grandchildren. I have very sweet memories of Ruby. Many years ago when I lived in Stettler, I worked for Dr. Brian Sribney and Ruby would bring her three little boys in for their dental visits. Such a cute family - and Ruby was always so kind to me.
I was incredibly fortunate to chat with her this past November at the Stettler Showcase dinner and concert. So unbelievable that she's gone. My sincere sympathies to her family and friends.

So saddened to hear this news.
Ruby was my favourite person in Canada when I visited.
We did get up to no good finding any excuse to pour an “apple pie” for me and I truly loved her company.

I’m so shocked and saddened to hear this,,Ruby was one of the nicest and kindest ladies you would ever meet and know..I first met her at the TD bank and then my son became friends with 2 of her sons..he worked with them one summer and Ruby would always make sure he had a lunch too..bless her heart.
