Marjorie Trotter

May 7. 1938 - Decemeber 23, 2023

Marjorie Patricia Trotter, resident of Lacombe, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the Stettler Hospital and Care Centre, at the age of 85 years.

Marjorie was born May 7, 1938 in Toronto, Ontario, the ninth of nine children born to Cecil and Grace Strudwick.  On July 17, 1959, Marjorie married the love of her life, George Edward Trotter.  They had three children, and moved from Toronto to Vancouver, British Columbia where they lived and enjoyed the beauty that BC had to offer.  George worked in construction, and built many buildings in Vancouver, while Marjorie kept the home and raised their children.  Life was full of many fun adventures, including camping, a favorite family activity.  Once grandkids came along, they put their energy into having fun with them, and caring for them in many different ways.

After the passing of her husband in 2020, Marjorie moved to Lacombe, AB to be close to family.  In her final years, Marjorie bravely battled various health issues.  Even so, she enjoyed a Christ-filled life, and looked forward to her eternal home in heaven.

Marjorie is survived by daughters Cindy (Rob) Titus and Angela (Colin) Luscombe; grandchildren:  Victoria (Matt) Guigon; Emily Luscombe, Jonathan Luscombe, Christopher Luscombe and Sara Scott St Marie; great grandchildren: Josiah, Grace, Noah; as well as numerous other relatives and many dear friends.

Marjorie is predeceased by parents Cecil and Grace Strudwick; siblings: Ellenor (Arno) Henkel; Doris Atkinson; Gilbert Strudwick; brother Doug Strudwick; Ted Strudwick; step brothers Earl French and Sid French; husband George Trotter and in laws Grace and Edward Trotter.

Marjorie will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Stettler Hospital and Care Centre (Heritage House) for their care and compassion during Marjorie’s stay there.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations may be made to Turning Point Ministries Canada, or Our Daily Bread Ministries Canada.
