Obituary of John William Dayman
In Loving Memory
Jack Dayman
April 20, 1940 ~ December 12, 2023
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of John William "Jack" Dayman, who departed this world on December 12, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Jack, aged 83, leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and a life well-lived.
Born on April 20, 1940, in Stettler, Alberta Jack was the beloved son of Hazel and William Dayman.
Jack found immense joy and purpose in the simple beauty of life. A dedicated farmer, he worked the land with a passion that mirrored his deep connection to nature. The fields he cultivated were not just a source of sustenance but a reflection of his hard work, resilience, and commitment to providing for his family and community.
Beyond the farm, Jack's love for curling was a testament to his vibrant spirit. He not only excelled on the ice but cherished the camaraderie and friendships formed through the sport. The sound of sweeping brooms and the thrill of competition brought him immeasurable joy, and the bonds forged on the curling rink were some of his most cherished.
In the evenings, Jack could be found at the card table, sharing laughter and stories with friends and family. His love for playing cards was not just a game; it was a celebration of togetherness, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by those who had the pleasure of joining him in a hand.
A family man through and through, Jack's heart swelled with love for his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The lessons of hard work, love, and resilience that he imparted will endure through the generations he leaves behind.
Jack is survived by his loving wife Susan; children Cindy Cassidy (Tim), Darcy Dayman, Tammy Brigley (Larry), Lora Strandquist, Richard Smith (Sandra), Shelly Grover (Norm); grandchildren: Randi Bartman (Brett), Brogan Cassidy (Michaela), Quade Cassidy (Emma), Lyndsay Dayman, Dustin Dayman, Morgan Dayman (Autumn), Brendan Brigley, Colten Brigley, Cally Erickson (Levi), Kristopher Smith (Shar), Lucas Grover (Melody), Lindsey Grover; great great grandchildren: Reese Cassidy, Van Bartman, Alexander Dayman, Tuvia Dayman, Jayda Smith, Blake Smith, Jax Smith, Jayen Grover, Theron Grover and Bria Grover; sister Jean Bauer; as well as numerous other relatives and many dear friends.
