Brian Wilfred Hunt

Brian Wilfred Hunt, aged 74, passed away on December 11, 2023 at Stettler, Alberta with family at his side.

Brian is survived by his beloved wife Phyllis Hunt of 49 years; children: Robin (Robert) Young, Leo (Sarah) Hunt, and Ryan (Ashley) Hunt. Brian leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, cherished by his grandchildren: John and Dazie Young, Gage and Shaun Hunt, and Danielle Hunt. He is also survived by his siblings Gordon (Judy) Hunt, Joanne (Randy) Knockleby, Mike (Anne) Hunt, and Doug (Pat) Hunt, along with numerous other relatives and many dear friends.

Brian was predeceased by his parents Harold and Alyce Hunt, Khristina Young and Evan Young.

He took great pride in building birdhouses at the Heart Haven Lodge over the years, showcasing his craftsmanship and love for nature. Brian was known for his ability to fix anything and gladly accepted any challenge thrown his way. His vast knowledge made him a go-to person for help, and he generously assisted anyone in need.

Growing up on a farm, Brian developed a deep love for the agricultural lifestyle. He later pursued a career as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, a profession that allowed him to combine his mechanical skills with his passion for problem-solving. Brian's dedication to his work and his willingness to share his knowledge endeared him to those around him.

Brian will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His legacy of warmth, generosity, and resilience will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Brian will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the memories of those he touched.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to any local school breakfast club a cause dear to Brian's heart.
