Hilda, Hilda Girl as I always referred to her as was a wonderful person whom I looked up to in many ways. I was blessed to spend over 4 years with her building a very special friendship at the Consort Lodge. Hilda will always hold a very special place in my heart and a rose will forever be on my sleeve for her. She was full of life and zest and loved to join in on whatever I had planned for the day, whether it be participating or just part of the cheering section Hilda was there. I loved our visits and our connection of us both living in Ardrossan. I loved when Hilda would come down to the activity room and have me help her fix a piece of her jewelry or just add some festive decorations to her walker. Hilda inviting me to her 100th Birthday Celebration was an honour. I would not have missed it for the world as that is what Hilda means to me, the world! I will miss you dearly Hilda Girl and until we meet again, I will look up into the sky and look for the brightest star and smile knowing you are at peace playing cards, putting together a puzzle or singing with some of your beloved friends.
