Trish Clark. A teacher exchange brought the Clark family to Algester State school in Brisbane, Queensland in 1984 and so began a friendship that has continued for over 40 years with visits back and forth between Canada and Brisbane! Trish was unfailingly the consummate host (not to forget Barry!) in her calm and unruffled manner, always confidant and always at ease sharing her home, her favourite places, her poetry and her children and grandchildren of whom she was intensely proud. The McKeon family will always think fondly of Trish and relive all the very many best moments our families shared together.

Jenn - I'm sorry to learn about Trish. Your mom was one of the more amazing people I've known. She went through life with a calmness I appreciate and just made the world work, and made it easier! She was always there - and her dedication to exercise, swimming, and moving still impresses and inspires me. I love how closeness you had with your mom, and with your dad, Sean and the rest of. your family. I have a few memories of all that and they are special. Mrs. Clark was a true gem. She had high expectations of us but also made us believe that we could do anything! I appreciated her humor, competitiveness and love of sports. My thoughts are with you all!

Trish where do i begin...i first got to know you very well as a principal of the school my children attended....we spent many nights and days together fundraising for the trip to peru....we worked so hard to have the first team of canadian children there from our school in gadsby. I remember crying at the airport when Ryan had to leave and you hugged me and said it will be okay Mom..i will look after him and bring him home safely...so i cried all the way home and patiently waited for that phone call letting us know you all arrived safely in Iguitos peru. It was the longest two weeks of my life waiting for that plane to safely return home..how excited we were to see you all come through those gates..you warned me LOL...about what i was about to see..all the kids were half purple from a ceremony that was given to them before they left.....They wore that dye proudly...and we were proud of how well the team was accepted by the people in Peru....chanting..Heh Canada and giving the kids necklaces.....your were a great influence in our childrens lives....I have very fond memories of our times working so hard together...rest easy with the angels Trish....you will be missed and never forgotten

Trish was a big influencer for me and my confidence. She was my principal for all of Junior High and truly made me believe I could do anything! She ran a tight ship but always a fun ship and I can only hope my children will experience the same gift from their school teachers!! Condolences to her children (who got to share in some of this fun at the little Byemoor School)
