My husband and Charlie worked together.
So my daughter wanted to name her baby brother Charlie Norcen when he was born. . We named him Luke.
She waited till 2023 and had her own Charlie.
I hope he is as kind . So many sweet memories. Rest peacefully Sir.

I met Charles on a visit to the Usher ranch some seventy years ago. His sister Trudy and I were room mates in school at Mount Royal College in Calgary..
She and I have remained good friends over the many years since then. There is not much I can add to the many wonderful well earned tributes offered by friends and community.. What I do remember is the deep love and respect Charles had from his family. My deepest sympathies go to Trudy having lost her hero and the last member of her immediate family.
God bless you my friend.

Jean Zak, niece from London Ontario.
My best memories are my visits to Auntie Jeanne and Uncle's home when I would play cribbage with Uncle Charlie before supper.
I was always treated to special events with them and other relatives when visiting Stettler.
I'm sorry I slept in this morning as it was the first day since last Sunday that I could. It was a busy week with every day but today of my Birthday week. I trust the funeral went well. Love and my sympathies to the Webber boys and their families. Also, to the Usher family too.

I didn't get to see him often, but visits were always memorable, whether it be visiting him and Great-Aunt Jeanne when I was small and sleeping in the basement or visiting at Christmas and going down to the A&W where he knew everybody or our last visit last year hearing his stories of the old family chess set. I'll miss you Uncle Charles.

Sir Charles, as we affectionately called him, exuded class every minute I ever knew him. He was a true, kind, generous, patient, and considerate gentleman. The real deal. Many were the chuckles we shared, right up to the day before he left this earth. What a wonderful man, and role model. Charlie was the best. Who will not miss his gentle manner and glowing, sincere smile? What a wonderful friend.

Our deepest condolences to the family, the passing of a true gentleman. My favourite story about Charlie: Faye and I had moved back to Stettler in the mid-80’s and were renting the Richardson acreage on the east side of town. Charlie came over with his beloved Fordson tractor and cultivated our garden. Of course he would take nothing for that favour, but agreed to stay for supper. Our young girls took quite a liking to this gentleman with the twinkly eyes, the teasing going back and forth. Anyway, the girls were put to bed and after a nice visit Charlie was ready to go home. Somehow his shoes were misplaced though - we looked everywhere! We finally had to wake the girls to find out where they hid his shoes. Such mischief! Charlie laughed and laughed! A fun memory of a gentleman loved and respected by all. Best regards, Don & Faye Hallett

My deepest sympathy to your family at this time.I first met Charlie in 1986 when he came to work with me in the Stettler area oilfield. During the next 6 years I found him the most gentlemanly fellow I had the pleasure to know and work with during my 40 years in the Oil Industry.I'm sure he has special place in his new place.George Badger.
