We have many years of memories of Alan Herman Svederus. When Alan & Beryl moved to Worsley, AB that is when we started having real good visits with them. John & I made many trips to Worsley to visit. Trips for birthdays, anniversaries and just plain good times. On one of the trips north we were speaking one night around the table, and it was decided the next morning we would go to La Crete, AB as none of us had been there. We left early the next morning, arrived at LaCrete shortly after noon. We seen many beautiful places along the way and returned that night. It was over a 536-mile trip.
Two things that were very noticeable about Alan was that his hair was never out of place, and he loved to talk. At our family Christmas of 2022 just as he was leaving, he gave us a remarkable speech. It was this speech I found out why we never walked through the Nels Hansen quarter going to the Cumberland school. In Alan's day it was told to him Nels puts cranky bulls in that quarter. This mirth went on for years, so therefore, no one touched even the fence going into the quarter. Alan had a great memory - coming home one night from Sylvan Lake he described every mile of the way. He had such a good memory! The last time I seen Alan in Rose Haven I asked if he knew me - right now he spelled out the word LEIGHTON. He had a sharp mind right to the end, but he didn't know us. Alan was one of the greatest husband's that could have asked for. He treated Beryl like a Queen.
Our Loving Sympathy to you Beryl - Precious Memories we will never forget. John & Cathy Leighton

Alan will be always in our hearts. We had such great times and created wonderful memories on the farm at Worsley.
Our kids especially remember "the chickens". Loves from the Robertsons - Barry, Iona, Kimberley, Dayle and Bryce.
