RUSSELL ARTHUR STEWART

BORN MAY 18, 1951

DIED JULY 12, 2023

 

Russell was the oldest of four children born to Arnold and Deloyce Stewart.  The family lived in Botha for several years before moving to Stettler.

Russell worked for Border Paving, Waschuk Pipeline, Terroco and RP Trucking running heavy equipment and driving 18 wheelers and operating picker trucks. In the last 30 years he then became involved in farming which he loved with his pigs, cattle and horses.  During this time he also ran farm equipment for neighbours to help them with cultivating or baling. He also was the co-owner of Pure Pandemonium Paintball. During this time he also became a school bus driver, helped run grader and the Canadian Waste truck.

Russell leaves to mourn his partner of 30 years Gloria Streit; his children Jesse Blacklock and Cody (Jen) Stewart; stepchildren Renee Watney, Sonya (Lawrence) Geddes, Tammy (Steve) Streit and Kyle Streit; grandchildren Hannah Blacklock and Lachlin Stewart and step grandchildren Madison (Andrew) Streit, Kasia (Kevin) Demonin, Alex and Rogan Geddes; step great grandchildren Mathew and Aria Demonin and Ivy and Meadow McGann;  brothers Doug (Kathy) Stewart and Charles (Cheryl), Stewart; sister Kathy (Rick) Perry; step brothers Herb (Kathy) Rock, Barry (Robyn Rock) Stephen (Janie) Rock, David (Laurie) Rock and step sister Verna Rock; and numerous nieces and nephews

Russell was predeceased by his parents Arnold and Deloyce Stewart; Gina Stewart (mother of his children); step mother Ilene (Rock) Stewart; step sister Pat (Ray) Kneeland; father in law Glenn Nixon and sister in law Margaret Nixon.
