Obituary of Debbie Doell
Obituary of Debra Ruth Doell (LaRose / Bauer)
(Debbie) Doell of Stettler, AB passed away peacefully on June 23, 2023, at the age of 62.
Debbie was a True Stettlerite having been born on May 19,1961 in Stettler as the youngest daughter of Ruth Bauer and Vic Bauer. She was raised and resided in Stettler her whole life. You may best remember her as a long time employee of the Stettler Independent always having a smile on her face. Deb was a people person, she enjoyed her job as she was able to help and get to know so many people. She was a beautiful soul who brought happiness and joy to everyone she met.
She was a loving Mom raising two wonderful daughters, and when she met and married again she was blessed with a wonderful son. She loved her children dearly, they were the biggest part of her happiness in life. That love only grew as grandchildren and great grandchildren were added to the mix. She had endless joy watching all her grandchildren in their various activities. Her favorite things included scrapbooking where she could socialize and create beautiful memories of her life, gardening, photography and her cats.
In September of 2021, Deb started her battle with cancer. She fought hard with a positive attitude throughout. We were blessed to have her with us for as long as we could.
Deb was predeceased by her daughter Angela Doell, parents Ruth Bauer (Ken Holden) and Vic Bauer.
Debbie is survived by her loving family, husband of 25 years Rick Doell; her loving children: Melanie (Lee) Bates, Christine (Trevor) Wedrick, and Braydon Doell; grandchildren: Jordan (Nevada) Bauer, Mackenzie Bates, Sierra Bates, Savannah Wedrick, and Easton Wedrick; great grandchildren: Jace, Daxton, and Emma Bauer; her friend (town daughter) Kami Ritz; her loving sister Donna Hulkovich – Cheryl (Ron) Woods, Bill (Nev) Hulkovich; her brothers: Don (Diane) Bauer, Dave Bauer, Dennis (Colleen) Bauer; parents-in-law Darlene and Larry Doell; and many other nieces and nephews, family and friends.
The Family wishes to acknowledge all the Stettler Doctors, Nurses and Stettler Hospital Staff that helped Deb through the turbulent times. Special Thanks to Dr. Pretorius and the Nursing crew that helped in caring for her in the last few weeks.
