Mr. LaRocque was an amazing coach. Always making time for everyone. Very much appreciate all the mentoring and advice he shared not just for badminton but life in general. Grateful for all the conversations that were shared. He will be dearly missed.

Bruce, so many great memories - fishing, Caesar cocktails with spicy asparagus spears, the "Dad's Tunes" CD's each year, tolerating my golf, camping with the family, but what sticks with me the most is the sense of humour. Like his peek-a-boo picture on the best day of my life and the banner he and Dean placed at the back of the church across the Inland Waterway to celebrate our wedding. But your greatest accomplishment is your children who I know to be fine and caring people. Thank you for including me in so many fun times. Enjoy the ride as your helium atoms escape earth's gravity and explore the universe. A.

Our heartfelt condolences to Lori and the LaRocque family. Bruce was simply likeable. He had a natural way of connecting with you and making you feel comfortable. Within minutes after meeting him, it felt like we had known him all our lives! In fact, whatever we were going to do, we wanted Bruce to join us! While Bruce's passing is undoubtedly a huge loss, you're blessed to have had him in your lives all these years. RIP. Diane & Reza Alavie

I was privileged to work with Bruce for several years. He greeted us every morning with a smile and kind words. He was always available to help out when we needed his expertise. He was a quiet dependable man and I send my sympathies and prayers to his family. I know you will all miss him very much.

I will remember Bruce's dedication to never missing the opportunity to coach the kids at tournaments all over Alberta and into Saskatchewan. Snowstorms or cold weather never deterred him and he was always there to offer his wisdom. In between making the kids do wind sprints for 20 minutes there was always a story to be told in the meantime. He believed in the potential in the kids he coached as long as they were giving it their best. He was a great mentor and a fine gentleman who we were all blessed to have known.

My condolence to Bruce’s family and friends. I worked with Bruce many years ago at several different companies where he was the accountant. We did manage to get our work done in between many stories and laughs about our everyday lives. Mayyour memories be a comfort to you in the coming days.

Our hearts are heavy with the news of Bruce's passing. He was a remarkable person who lived his life with such devotion to his faith, family and community. His love for his wife and family was always evident to those around him. We are grateful for the memories we have shared with him through our children at church and school. Bruce was an awesome badminton coach. It was a pleasure to be a part of the badminton executive with Bruce. His dedication and love of the game was very evident in the time commitment he put into Stettler Junior Badminton Club and the sport. His smile was contagious and he will be missed by many.
