Obituary of Deborah Anne Simard

Deborah Anne Simard (Debbie), passed away from natural causes, on May the 12, 2023 at the age of 60.

Debbie was born on October 15, 1962 in Edmonton Alberta, to parents Judi Croft and Adrian (Buzz) Buckler. She lived in many places, across Western Canada and in the US, but in her final years, she called Strathmore, AB, her home.

Married in 1987 to Randy Simard, Debbie was a caring and committed wife for nearly 30 years, prior to Randy’s passing in 2017. Her love for family was always apparent, and it was not long after marriage that Debbie and Randy grew their family, with the addition of their two children, Matthew, and Megan. Anyone that knew Debbie, knows that she was blessed by her family, and that her family was blessed by her loving and caring nature.

Debbie was passionate about horseback riding and raising and caring for animals. She loved to travel and see friends across Canada and the US. In her later years, Debbie could be found walking her dogs around Strathmore, or having friends over for a corona on her deck.

She is survived by her two children, Matthew Simard (Kea) and Megan Johnsen (Mat), as well as her stepmother, Pat Buckler, mother, Judi Croft, and three grandchildren Felix, June, and Ivy.

Celebration of Life will be held on

Interment will take place on

Monday, July 10, 2023 at 1:00 P.M.

Mayerthorpe Cemetery, Mayerthorpe, Alberta
