Obituary of Andrew Michael Leard

Andrew came into this world on January 1, 1972 in Red Deer, Alberta.  He was the official New Year’s baby of 1972, so they were showered with many gifts and warm welcomes.  After a few short years in Red Deer, life brought Andrew to Stettler where his loving parents Pam and Ken would raise him, and his brothers and sisters.  As a kid Andrew took on many activities; he loved the outdoors and often went hunting and fishing with the family.  It was only natural that he would later become a Boy Scout and a Junior Forest Warden.  In junior high school, Andrew would join the football team, the NCO Cowboys.  He also played slow pitch ball with his family and friends.  Following his school days, Andrew worked in the oilpatch and also did concrete work.  He especially enjoyed the concrete work, often going back to it throughout his life.  Andrew was a kind, gentle soul and will be deeply missed by all who had the honour of knowing him.

Andrew will be sadly missed and leaves to mourn his passing, parents Pam and Ken Leard of Stettler; sisters Mailinda (Allan) Thomson of Calgary, and Anita Leard (Jack) of Nevis; brother John (Sandra) Leard of Stettler; nieces and nephews: Richelle Thomson (Rod), Carissa Leard, Jordan Boehlke, Jayden Boehlke (Waylon), Kiara Boehlke, Aivee Leard, Haley Leard, Addison Leard, Marley Leard, Kaden Leard, Lukas Leard, Dakoda Siemens, and Tasha Siemens (John); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Andrew was predeceased by his brother Lester Siemens, grandparents: Stella Vanschouwen, John Mayes, Constance Leard, Helen and George Leard, Annie and Nick Screpnek, and cousin Sean Brown.
