Obituary of Shelley Lynne Davis-Hall

Please share a memory of Shelley to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Shelley Lynne Davis-Hall (“Sheldog”) passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2023. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death. Shelley was born on July 21, 1963.

Shelley is survived by her husband of 35 years Greg Davis-Hall; her three children, Matthew (Caralee) Davis-Hall, Rushton (Sarah) Davis-Hall, and Breanna (Tyler) Davis-Hall; her grandson and biggest fan: Weston Weber;

her two cats: Luna and Xany; her mother-in-law: Angela Davis-Hall; her sisters-in-law: Julie (Graham) Edmonds, Alex, Susan (Dave) Johnson; her nieces and nephews: Ryan, Zakary, Hanna, and Chloe; her Aunt Cecil and Uncle John;

her cousins; Heather and Margaret as well as many other relatives and friends.

Shelley is predeceased by her parents; Sharon and Henry Palmer, her step-dad Donald (Duck); her father-in-law Albert Davis-Hall; and her cats Sassy and Pookie.

Everyone who knew Shelley felt her huge heart and giving nature and she dedicated her whole life to helping others succeed. Shelley was so talented in anything she picked up. She was well known in both the soccer and hockey world throughout Alberta and volunteered countless hours even after her children no longer participated. Shelley brought an uplifting spirit to any event, always going out of her way to make people feel welcome. Before moving to Stettler, Shelley and Greg ran a successful year-round greenhouse business out of Didsbury, Alberta, distributing fresh herbs and flowers to major retailers and restaurants throughout western Canada, all while they raised their three beautiful children. In 2005, they moved to Stettler, where Shelley continued to dedicate her life to raising her kids (and their friends). Shelley became a mother figure to many she knew, pushing them to be the best version of themselves while selflessly devoting her time and caring for them. Shelley was taken far too soon at a time when life was looking forward to the next babysitting adventure with grandson Weston. She was the proudest Nanny and Weston’s favourite person.

Shelley will be honoured with a celebration of life on May 27th starting at 5 pm at the Stettler Agriplex(Pavilion side). Doors open at 4 pm, with speakers at 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Stettler Minor Soccer Association.
