Violet and Charles were the first 2 friends we had when we first moved to Ontario in 2007. They both continued to be great friends since that time. We were sorry to see them move back to Alberta, but we have been able to keep in touch since then. We are sure Charles and the family will miss her greatly, but time has a way of helping us live with the loss. It doesn't get easier, just different. We hope that the family can hold on to the memories of the good times to help with the healingthat must follow in the coming days, weeks and months. RIP Violet.

Vi was a very unique and caring person. She is one of the first friends I found at church in Stettler and though we never got together alot we did have many good visits on the phone learning about each other and our families. Although Vi and I were very different and had opposite opinions on a couple of things she was always a true and enduring friend that I treasured. One thing we had in common was our belief that all of God's children are loved and precious to Him and because of that it is very important we respect and love each other. She was the kind of friend that would go to bat for you if you needed it. Just the offer was enough. Vi was real. I never had to second guess her words or intentions. I always knew where I stood with her and felt secure I could be myself and be accepted at my best and worst. I know her first loves were definately the Lord, her husband Charles and all her children. She spoke to me many times about her concern and love for them all. She often spoke of Charles loving kindness to her and her feelings for him as her loving husband. As a mother she really had a special ability to see each of her children as their own person with their own feelings and opinions. She was also a very talented lady who kept a beautiful home. Her love for her dogs was also a huge part of her life. I just want to remind Charles and her children that even though she has went ahead ahead for "awhile" ... she will undoubtably still be near to her family. She loves you each so much. THAT was Vi. Remember, Families are forever!
