In Loving Memory of Eva Jean Crumly (Forsyth)

January 19, 1935 ~ March 31, 2023

After 88 years of bringing life, laughter and love to her family and friends Jean passed away peacefully at the Good Samaritan Lodge in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Jean married Gerald Crumly October 4, 1955 and together they had four children, Barbara Ann, Gerald Lee, Joseph Kevin Scott, and Patricia Jean.

Jean resided in Donalda for 60 years where she raised her children and operated a successful restaurant providing people with fantastic home cooked meals.

Jean was very creative in both food preparation and in the arts by creating ceramic figures as well as painting.

Jean had many friends in Donalda and was someone who would provide a helping hand on a moment's notice. She was also someone who most knew not to mess with as she would not hesitate to stand up for herself or anyone else that wasn’t being treated fairly.

Jean is predeceased by her husband Gerry, granddaughters Alexis Crumly and Desirae Crumly, both of her parents, Albert and Florence, her brothers Jim, Robert, Ken, Keith, sisters Margert Terpstra, Anne Griffith, and baby sister Mable.

Jean is survived by her children Barb (Mike) Henderson, Lee (Gail) Crumly, Kevin Crumly, and Patricia (Alan) Fisher as well as seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Jean is also survived by her brother Bill, sisters in law Doris Forsyth, Geraldine Salvadore and Kay Sochowski and brothers in law Tommy Terpstra and Francis Crumly.

The family is holding a celebration of life for Jean at the Sharon Lutheran Church in Donalda on April 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Following the service Jean will be laid to rest at the Donalda Cemetery. Luncheon and sharing of memories will be held at the Coulee Friendship Center. Everyone who knew Jean is welcome.

If friends and family desire, donations are gratefully accepted to the Donalda Coulee Friendship Club or a charity of the donor’s choice.
