Obituary of Scott Jackson
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Scott Jackson of Clive, AB on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the age of 65 years. Scott was born May 23, 1957 in Stettler, AB. His childhood was spent in the Botha area; he graduated from Stettler High School. Scott had several jobs growing up, but after school he decided on apprenticing for an electrician at the Nevis Gas Plant. This is where he met Donna, they married on May 31, 1980. This year would have been their 43rd anniversary. Their first home was in Stettler, then they moved to Edson for 24 years. Scott worked as an electrician at the Hanlan Robb Gas Plant. Scott was electrocuted in 2000, after six years of struggling to go back to work with pain the doctors said no more. So, in 2006 Scott and Donna moved back to Botha, and then their new home in Clive was built in June 2009. They resided in Clive until his passing. Throughout Scott’s life he has enjoyed music, motorcycles, skidoo’s, slingshot, model railroad, model planes, boats and cars. Scott had a passion for having fun and just doing and learning something new. He loved museums, Donna soon learned that any museum was a full day’s adventure. Scott deeply loved Donna, his sons Ryan and Kyle and his grandchildren. He loved teasing his grandchildren. Scott had a talent for fixing and creating items, this was learned from his father. Scott has now passed this down to his sons, and helped pass along to his grandchildren. He had a special talent for fixing electronics, especially dealing with computer problems, he has received many phone calls from family and friends over the years.
Scott was predeceased by his parents John and Jean Jackson; father and mother in law Sandy and Esther Langmuir; brothers in law Glenn Carruthers, Allen Andersen, Rick Strickland; sister in law Carol Carruthers. He is survived by his wife Donna; sons Ryan (Markita) Jackson, Kyle (Kelsy) Jackson; five grandchildren: Mason, Avery, Ashton, Reese and Addison. Scott will be remembered by his sister Sharon, as well as a host of nieces, nephews other family and friends. A Celebration of Scott’s Life will be Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 2:00pm at Stettler Funeral Home.
