Condolences to the family. I worked with Gary at ADC/AFSC while I was based out of the Camrose office. We had many good discussions over the phone about lending (& life in general). And many more conversations while perhaps enjoying a beverage or two at social events. He was friendly, fun-loving and full of wit & wisdom. I always looked up to him & respected him for being so intelligent & well grounded. He will be missed.

Uncle Gary, so many of my fondest youthful memories included you: at the farm, the lake or the racetrack. You were a precious friend to our entire family. You’re dearly loved and missed. I would like to express my deepest condolences to Brenda and family. I came to Hanna in June of 1980 for my first job and met Gary and rest of the wonderful Hanna team. Gary trained me in the art of "countercyclical' lending and became my mentor and coworker for the next 10 years. Those 10 years had so many memorys from the great work environment, countless overnight road trips, trips all over special ares, weekend ice fishing, softball games and weiner roasts, National get together, and debating life in general. Gary left me with a lasting impression with which I am greatfull. You will be missed old friend.

Oh my friend, look at your rockin' your mullet and AFSC cap, while doing what you loved. Such a great picture. So very grateful for the many years of fun and friendship, was never a dull coffee break conversation with you there. Condolences. Gary was the first one we borrowed money through to start farming. He was awesome to deal with. He made sure we understood the highs and lows of farming. He always drove an old vehicle to prove get whatvyou can in your financial limits. Great guy !! Thx Gary

Our deepest Condolences to Brenda, Jared, Kahle and their families. Tony and I have so many fond memories of Gary as we went down the Hockey Trail with the Erickson’s. When I seen the picture of Gary in the Obituary my thought was, oh he needs to have his toque on, as that is what he always wore to hockey games. Gary you lived life on the edge and never backed down. I don’t know if we would be ranching and financially where we are ,if it had not been for Gary at AFSC. Yes he would bend the rules, but he knew his job and he was so good at it. He was a benefit to many young and old farmers and ranchers. They broke the mould when Gary was born and that is a shame because the world needs more Garys’. Rest In Peace Old Friend. You have turned the last corner on this track of life but did you ever do it as a winner. Hugs from the Hills.
