Obituary of Lillian Kaufman
In Memory of
Lillian Kaufman
1930-2022
Lillian Louise Kaufman (Keibel) passed away peacefully after a long and fulfilling life on June 10, 2022.
Lillian was born in Castor, Alberta to Emil and Katie Keibel on July 17, 1930. She lived on the family farm near Endiang with her parents and siblings Doris, May, and Gordie until moving to Stettler in 1948 after which another sister, Peggy, joined the family. Lillian met and married the love of her life, Allen, in 1952. Together they lived and raised their children in Stettler. Lillian was a homemaker and mother firstly but also helped Allen in the family business. She was very devoted to her Stettler Baptist Church community. Lillian loved to garden and always had beautiful roses and sweet peas as well as an abundant vegetable garden to see her family through the winter. She also loved knitting, quilting, painting and other arts and crafts which are still treasured by her family. In 2017 Allen and Lillian moved to Red Deer to live in Victoria Park and recently moved to Timberstone Mews where Mom was able to receive more care.
Lillian will be sadly missed by her devoted husband of 70 years, Allen; her children Kathleen (Herb) Radke and their children Jonathan Radke (Sarin Lawrence) (Micah and Caleb Radke Lawrence), Christine (Lon) (Jayla, Evan and Adria) Riemer, Nicholas (Haley) (Isaiah and Griffin) Radke and Daniel (Kristin) (Annalise, Madelyn and Ethan) Radke; Stephen (Lorraine) Kaufman and their children Laura Kaufman, Michelle (Nigel) (Sierra and Sage) Dean and Leanne Kaufman; Terry (Peggy) Kaufman and their children Alisa (Shaun) (Leo) Harder and Robert (Jude) Hamam-Kaufman; and Marilyn (Bruce) Mackenzie and their children Carrington Mackenzie (Matthew Tryhuba), Amber (Tim) (Sebastian and Melody) Barlow, Logan (Keaton and Scarlett) Fallon and Autumn (Brett) (Adair and Skye) Spulnick; sisters Doris Shoemaker, May Jasinski, Peggy (Dean) MacAulay and brother Gordon Keibel; sisters-in-law Grace Cooper, Betty (John) Simala; brothers-in-law David (Marian) Kaufman and Bob (Terri) Kaufman; and numerous other family members.
