I was saddened to hear of Noreen's passing, and send my condolences to Sheldon and the rest of her family and friends. My fondest memory of Noreen involves getting lost driving to her house in Loon, most times without her in the car, but sometimes with her. "Noreen! Is this the right road?! Do I turn here?" We sure had some good laughs in our childhood. Rest easy, Stacks

Noreen,
I have so many fond memories of being on the farmer with you over summer holidays. All the sleepless nights talk about so little but yet so much. Rest in my peace my sweet cousin.
Love Karen

You are, and will always be, “our baby girl”. Nothing will ever change that. You worried us from the beginning, by being born with a broken collarbone. Then adolescence, where you challenged everything and everyone. Yet, that made you a strong independent girl which we were so proud of. We knew your fierce independence would take you places.
You were always game for some fun, and sometimes that included us, as your parents. One time you had a group of friends over at the house and when we came into the living room everyone was laughing. We couldn’t figure out what was happening until we noticed the family car was in the middle of the field. Noreen’s friends had picked up the car and carried it out there. Of course Noreen knew better and ordered everyone to “bring it back”. Which they did. I’m sure there are many stories that could be told.
Then you met Sheldon. The quiet reserved guy that seemed so opposite your personality. But the connection was there from the start. We all saw how much you loved each other. You were so happy, and that, as parents, is all we could ever ask for. That our baby girl was happy.
We love you and always will.

Noreen was a very special person. She was always happy and never complained. We loved to visit with her and the family at the farm in Loon Lake. We will always remember her curly hair in her grad picture. She always was a cutie. She loved her time with Sheldon in Costa Rica and other homes. It was so special when Noreen took Oma Nauta to Alaska. They had a great time together and are probably talking about it now. As was previously mentioned, we also were recipients of a big box of delicious chocolates. She was a real trooper and you meant the world to her Sheldon. We will miss her and now she knows all the secrets of Heaven. Love Uncle Doug and Auntie Jenny

Noreen was truly one of the most encouraging and genuine people. I could phone her excited about anything and she was instantly excited too - for you and with you. She was fiercely loyal and protective and she loved her Sheldon (and all of her puppies), family and close friends more then anything in this world. A chat with her picked up right where you left off, no matter how much time there was in between.
I can't believe that you are gone Noreen.
Until we meet again friend.

Sheldon, sending you my deepest condolences. I am so sorry for your loss.
Noreen was always so generous and I remember when she worked at a certain chocolate store- which I won’t name- and would get us pounds of chocolates. She certainly knew my addiction.
Noreen your smile will light up the heavens, while you are missed here on earth. Give Come a hug.

Hey Noreen
you will be missed!
I remember helping Noreen move her life to start her life with Sheldon, from day one she always had the warmest hugs for me!
I admired Noreen for her knowledge, she was like a walking encyclopedia, liked having her as a team mate when playing trivia games.
You will always be here in spirit and truly missed. your loving brother-in-law Hugs

Hey there “ Stacks”, it has been many years since I seen or even knew where you were to be able to talk to you. I just wanted to share a memory I have of you and I that I will never forget.
We used to always take turns staying at each other’s house, and I remember we did cause our share of headaches to our parents. On one of my sleep overs at Noreen’s house we decided we were going to play in the hayloft in the barn. Well we came up with the great plan of making “ cakes” for the animals. Well just going to keep a long story short, Noreen figured we had to have eggs in these “cakes” made with mud, straw, feathers and whatever else we could find, so she climbed down the side of the barn and gathered every egg out of the chicken house. We made these cakes , then tried to feed them to the animals. Haha needless to say “Mom” Mrs. Styacko was not very happy when she didn’t get any eggs that day.
The things the two of us used to get into, but we always had a great time. Rest In Peace my school time friend, you were very special to me.

Noreen gave me a stepping stone that I couldn’t bare to put out. I didn’t want it to fade, break, or someone to actually walk on it. Instead, it hangs in my garage between the wrenches and the nails. Not a very glamorous spot for something I cherish but when I turn my head I see it every time I leave the house and every time I come home. It says “A best friend is a sister destiny forgot to give you”. You truly were my bonus sister. I miss you so much.

Hey Kiddo, how’s it going….these are words I will never again say, as I no longer have a little sister to call. I will deeply miss our phone conversations, talking about everything, nothing, or a little in between. World problems were solved and rectified by the time our conversations were complete. We didn’t always agree on issues (particularly music…..LoL) but we were always open to hearing each others point of view. One particular phone call was a record of 4.5 hours. Noreen was a wealth of knowledge and she liked to research things (making it difficult to argue with her). Noreen blazed a trail wherever she went, and if you wanted a headstrong, determined person…..well, I’m not sure you could have found a better one than her. She even admitted that “if someone tells me I can’t do something; well, then that is exactly what I am going to do”. Her love for Sheldon and vise versa was unmatched in any couple I have ever met. They truly were made for each other. I will forever be awed by Noreen’s attitude towards MS, she never let it define her. You would never know she was in pain when talking to her. She always kept her sense of humor, and I’ll bet her doctors knew to “give it to her straight” when they were relaying information – no sugar coating for Noreen. I have no doubt that some of the stories Noreen would tell me were most likely watered down a bit (for my benefit) and I’m sure I didn’t even hear some of the best ones, as Noreen lived life like it was supposed to be lived.
Hey Kiddo….. you will forever be my little sister, and I will miss you beyond words.
