Julie Katherine Bustin

June 14, 1962 ~ April 28, 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Julie, who passed away peacefully at the Stettler Hospital on April 28, 2022.

Julie was born in Salmon Arm and quickly became a fixture in the community.  Family would say a 5 minute trip downtown with Julie usually took 2 hours.  She would have to stop to hug everyone she knew and sometimes didn’t know.  She was a 4 foot 10 inch tower of love.

Julie worked at numerous places over the years including, 20 plus years at Bastion Place and Shuswap Children's Association.  Julie was an avid bowler, darts, bocci ball as well as a Special Olympics contestant.  She loved to take pictures for her many albums, these gave her great joy as she looked through them nearly daily.

In more recent years circumstances changed and Julie moved to Crystal City, Manitoba to live with her sister Sharon.  A second move 2 years ago, took Julie to Stettler, Alberta, still with Sharon.  She was a trooper and took it all in stride.

Julie’s famous hugs will be remembered always by anyone lucky enough to receive one.

Julie is survived by her mother Dorthy Bustin; sisters Valerie (Doug) Harrison, Sharon (Dan) Paterson; brother Danny (Natalie) Bustin.  Julie was predeceased by her father Peter Bustin and her sister Lorraine Bustin.

Family will remember Julie privately each and every time they join together.
