James Bruce Carothers

 

James “Jim” Bruce Carothers was born Oct 27, 1929 at Blackie, Alberta, the youngest of seven children.

 

Jim passed away on April 19, 2022, aged 92 years, at Points West Living in Stettler, where he had lived for the last 2 years.

 

Jim is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lee; children: Trixi (Darrell) Davidson, Wade (Terri) Carothers, Jamie (Greg) Boyd, Marie (Dwayne) Bignell, Curtis (Shelley) Elliott, Tory Schiffner, Jimilee (Ben) Ayotte;  grandchildren: Christopher (Heather) Davidson, Bradley (Christena) Davidson, Joshua Carothers, Kendra (Jordan) Richardson, Ty (Delaney) Robinson, Cody (Sienna) Carothers, Nicki Boyd, Kelsey (Christine) Bignell, Kayla (Dayce) Hoffman, Riley (Jessica) Elliott, Ty (Rebecca) Elliott, Levi Elliott, Jake (Dallyn) Schiffner, Katrina (David) Schiffner, Joel (Cass) Chostner, Duncan Chostner, Sorcha Ayotte, Sullivan Ayotte; 22 great grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and many dear friends.

 

Jim was predeceased by parents Mary and Joseph Carothers; siblings:  Virginia, Chrissy, Barbara, Anna, Joe and Keith.

 

Jim always had a passion for rodeo and ranching which he continued throughout his life, and shared with his family and friends.

 

A Celebration of Life for Jim will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Westwoods Community Centre. Memorial Donation may be made to the Stettler Health Services Foundation.
