Kathleen Ann Prehn

1931 – 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Ann Prehn on March 3, 2022 at the age of 90 years.  Kathleen Ann Muyres was born to parents Michael and Rosa Muyres on March 23,1931, the sixth child of twelve children.

Kathleen married Alfred Prehn on October 24, 1949.  They resided on the farm they built together until they semi-retired to Forestburg in 1981.

They bought a motorhome and took many trips to the U.S. and fishing.  Kathleen loved cooking, sewing, quilting, crocheting, playing cards and colouring and spending time with family and friends.

Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Alfred of 60 years in 2009; parents Michael and Rosa Muyres; brothers:  Raymond, Eugene, Paschal and Donald; sisters Leona, Rita and Delores and son-in-law Jim Galloway.

She will be greatly missed by son Dennis (Peggy) Prehn; daughter Donna Galloway (Rob Zarvie); grandchildren:  Alisa (Ken) Glasier, Brian (Erin) Prehn, Corey (Caitlyn) Prehn and Brant (Kailey) Sieben; great grandchildren:  Anthony and Andrea Glasier, Mya, Hadley and Clark Prehn, Rhys and Evelyn Prehn and Briar Sieben; siblings:  Urban, Laverne, Donna and Celina.

Funeral Liturgy will be held at Our Lady of the Prairies Catholic Church, Daysland, AB on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Father Danial Dsouza officiating.  Memorial Donations may be made to the Galahad Cemetery, Hardisty Hospital Auxiliary or to a charity of your choice.
