Ed was a first cousin to my father. He was a part of a very special family in our lives. I met and got to know Eddy quite a number of years ago. Although we never visited back and forth a lot I always enjoyed my visits with him when we would meet up on the street. in the grocery store or some other place in Stettler. My sincere condolences to Donna, brothers Lawrence and Leroy and their families and other extended family and friends. Sincerely, Ray kneeland and the Kneeland families.

While I was still in my bathrobe, just working on my first coffee, there was Ed - outside all dressed and working hard in the yard - still when he was in his nineties! He was unstoppable in every way - what a guy! Here we are 20 years younger and he is busy mowing the ditch behind our house - or driving to Stettler to pick up a newspaper for us early in the morning, sharing the delicious salmon he caught in BC with his brother-in-law and always ready to visit and help. He loved his lake home, his family, his birds, his trees, his neighbours - everything! Donna you were the greatest gift to him - his pal, work mate, room mate and eventually caregiver - who loved him and respected his every wish until the day he died. It has been a privilege to be his - and your, neighbour. Linda and Roger Charest

I have known Ed for manty years and met him through my cousin Marie. I found him to be always friendly and very hospitable. Although I had not seen Ed for several years we kept in contact by email. While in Arizona we visited several times and at one point he invited Yvonne and I and two of our friends for dinner. He was a tremendous cook and our friends still talk about the best meal we ever had while in Mesa at Ed's place. Our condolences go out to Donna and family. A great man who will be truly missed.

Thank you for your kind words and warm thoughts. Yes, he loved waving and chatting with everyone. We have so many wonderful memories of Dad, Grandpa and Papa. He was very involved with the whole family and was a very busy man doing all kinds of things.
