I remember spending a lot of time at the Richards household as a child up until we moved from Stettler. Dick was always so kind and compassionate and always made me feel welcome. My heart goes out to the Richards family in thiis difficult time.

Dick was an incredible community supporter and I believed truly loved Stettler! Dick was so proud of his kids and strived to put family first! Just this winter Dick and I were speaking about a raffle fundraiser for the Youth Center - Dick told me to go back to my office and bring him ticket books - he said he would sell them, great cause, great prize! It is an extraordinarily sad time. Dick was an incredibly kind, genuine and “crazy funny” person. For his “too-short” time on earth, he touched so many lives and hearts of not only those closest him like his kids, grandkids and family but also his old friends, new friends and his town. Not many of us can say we have had the impact that Dick did during his time here. I feel privileged to have known him and he will be missed. I am sharing some pictures from his youth to make you smile as I know he is smiling down on us right now as we remember him. Many thoughts and prayers to Dick’s family during this time of sorrow, loss and lovely memories of a son, dad, grandpa and friend. Janet
