Obituary of Donna Marie Leicht

December 27, 1939 – April 3, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of Donna Marie Leicht announce her passing, at the age of 80. Donna was born to Keith and Ruth McLellan, of Donalda, AB. She spent her childhood on the family farm, and completed her schooling in Donalda. As a young women, Donna went to work in Stettler. It was here that she met Edwin Leicht and they were married in 1960, Ed and Donna remained together for 59 years until Ed’s passing last fall. Donna and Ed had three children, Bonnie, Randy and Debra. Donna spent her adult life as a devoted mother and wife. Looking after her children, home, and husband. Donna had different jobs through her life, such as, Alberta Hospital, the Bashaw Valley Lodge, operated the Bashaw Arena Canteen, and drove Ambulance, to list only a few. Upon her retirement from outside employment she enjoyed spending time with friends and family, camping, visiting and laughing. Donna is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Pat) Nicholson of Clive, grandson Curtis Leicht of Edmonton, granddaughter Annette Andrews and her son Zac of Camrose, granddaughter Ashley Burns and her daughters Alexis and Neveah of Stettler. Son Randy (Georgia Wells) Leicht of Ponoka, granddaughter Chelsi (Dave) Nucombe of Fort St. John B.C. and their children Leroy and Easton, granddaughter Natasha Leicht (Cody Taber) of Edmonton and grandson Brandon Leicht of Medicine Hat, daughter Debra Leicht of Bashaw and grandson Aaron Douglas of Sylvan Lake, sister in law Brenda McLellan of Stettler, brother in law Brian (Margaret) Leight of Duncan B.C., and many more loved extended family and friends. Donna was predeceased by her husband Ed Leicht, her father and mother Keith and Ruth McLellan and brother Dave McLellan.
