Alex will be sadly missed and leaves to mourn his passing: wife of 54 years Lorraine Gerlitz of Stettler; son Steve (Tara) Gerlitz of Stettler; daughter Kelly (Ken) Garbutt of Stettler; grandchildren: Staci Gerlitz (Kent) of Wetaskiwin, Todd Gerlitz (Nikkie) of Stettler, Aleah Mehle of Red Deer and Ryan Garbutt of Red Deer; great grandchildren: Lincoln, Aubree-Lynn, Anthony, Baya, Chloe and Declan; sisters and brother: Lydia Thacker, Clara Sorensen, Joyce (Glen) Iggulden, Margaret (Ken) Cebuliak, Kathleen (Allen) Keibel, Dave (Becky) Gerlitz and Linda (Lorne) Haner; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many dear friends.

Alex was predeceased by his parents Helene and Alex Gerlitz; sisters and brothers in law: Mary (Bob) Reid, Esther (George) Mykyta and Elsie (Mickey) Moody and Ernie Sorensen.

A Come and Go Social Celebrating Alex’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 2-4 P.M. at Stettler Funeral Home & Crematorium following the social distancing regulations of Covid.
