Obituary of Bob Duchscher

Balzar (Bob) Duchscher Bob passed away peacefully at the Stettler Hospital after a long battle with Kidney disease. Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years Georgiana; children Rick (Towani) of Calgary and Cindy of Stettler; grandchildren: Cameron, Jordyn, Xavion and Mahalia; brothers Frank of Kelowna and Joe (Marilyn) of Calgary; brother-in-law Jim Magwood of Wilkie, SK and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Frances; sisters Gertie and Mary; sister-in-law Dorothy; brother-in-law Cliff Gallant. Bob grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan and spent his time doing choirs and whittling objects from discarded pieces of wood. He moved to Calgary in the spring of 1956 and was married to his sweetheart, Georgiana, in 1961. Balzar attended SAIT and achieved his red seal in Carpentry before having 2 children and moving to Stettler in 1975. Bob quickly became a staple of the Linda Hall community and built over 30 houses in the Stettler and surrounding area. Bob and Georgiana enjoyed dancing, BBQ’s and hosting friends and family at their acreage before moving into Stettler 3 years ago. Memorial Service Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 1:00 P.M.
