We were saddened to read of Marie's homegoing. She and Herb had some fun discussions about her Mother, Elsie taking Herb fishing when they'd visit the farm in Nebraska. We were glad when she and Dan could come to the Hansel family reunions in Nebraska. Very lovely lady.

Our parents were always so proud of your Mom and Dad and cherished the family bond. We know she will be missed and know that she was loved and lived a full and busy life. My condolences to Dan and family. Sharing in your sadness. Dry your tears as Marie lived life to the fullest. As I reflect on memories of Marie. Her stories of world travels and funny stories of days of old come to my mind. Her awesome homemade bread and introducing me to blue potatoes also cast a smile on my face and warm my heart. We were so sorry to hear of Marie's passing. she was a strong lady and so devoted to you girls and to Dan. We remember fondly our years in 4H and being at weigh ins at your farm. I remember being in Calorie Counters with Marie and all the fun we had there. We know she will be missed, especially by Dan. Stay strong and know that we are thinking of you!!

We feel so honoured and blessed to be friends with both Dan and Marie. Sweet Marie....so devoted to her family, her church family and her community. She was full of fun, laughter, and kindness.
