Obituary
Obituary of Julie Anne Pfeiffer
Julie passed away peacefully on October 17, 2018 at the Agape Hospice in Calgary after a short, courageous battle with lung cancer. Julie always had a wonderful sense of humor and a loving and caring character. She was a very artistic and gifted musician and had a real compassion for animals.
Julie was born on June 3, 1958 and lived in Edmonton with her birth mother, Vivian Finnigan (Norman) for her early years. She was adopted at the age of eight by her aunt and uncle, Ken and Evelyn Pfeiffer, and eventually settled in Stettler.
Julie grew up in a household filled with music. She discovered that her greatest love was being a drummer and this talent gave her many opportunities to perform in school bands and several dance bands in the Stettler area. Julie attended Camrose Lutheran College and the University of Alberta, graduating with a Bachelor of Education. She began her teaching career in Stettler in 1981, the same year she was married to Doug Ince. They raised three beautiful children who also pursued music and furthered their education.
They moved their family to Red Deer where Julie and Doug parted ways. Julie eventually settled in Calgary where she spent her last 16 years. Through the many trials she battled in life, she always kept her family, friends and faith closest to her heart. She will be greatly missed.
Julie is survived by her loving family: mom,Evelyn Pfeiffer of Stettler; son Curtis (Tina) Ince of Calgary; daughters Leyna (Brandon) Tsui of Edmonton, and Carli Ince of Kelowna; granddaughter Jade Tsui; brothers and sisters: Scott (Sherry) Pfeiffer of Stettler, James (Sharon) Pfeiffer of Orleans, Massachusetts, Jennifer (Sherman) Fougere of Calgary, Susan (Darrell) Stang of Blackfalds, Les (Dawn Rene) Finnigan of Edmonton, Kelly (Dave) Siemens of Olds, Darren Regnier of Pentiction, and Jason Regnier of Regina; nieces, nephews, other family members and many dear friends.
A celebration of Julie’s life will be held on Friday, October 26th at 2:00 pm at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Stettler. Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Salvation Army Agape Hospice in Calgary, or a charity of your choice.
