Obituary of 'Mike' Dolores Beverly Joan Keith

Society, Alberta Cancer Foundation or a charity of your own choice. It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Dolores Beverly Joan (Mike) Keith. Mike passed away at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on June 9, 2018, at the age of 78 years. Mike was born August 31, 1939 in Hanna, AB to Lloyd and Helen Walker. She grew up on the family farm east of Byemoor. On June 10, 1960, Mike was married to her perfect match in Cameron Keith. Over the next few years children Pat, Tom, Jim, Shawna and Brian arrived. Together Mike and Cam mourned the loss of two infant children Danny in 1966 and Tracey in 1971. Mike loved her family. She spent many hours on the road to watch sporting events, dance recitals, and school activities. A highlight of the grandchildren’s summer was all getting together at grandma and grandpa’s house for a sleepover or also playing football in the yard on holiday gatherings. In more recent years, Mike looked forward to visits and laughs from her great grandchildren. The coffee was always on at Mike’s house. She enjoyed visitors and didn’t like silence in a conversation. She liked going to the hotel for lunch with her crew. Mike was a talented seamstress, knitter/crocheter, artist, and baker. She always had a beautiful garden. Mike was a strong supporter of the school and arena. Mike is survived by her children Pat (Sandra) Keith, Tom (Cindy) Keith, Jim (Gwen) Keith, Shawna (Wes) Mohl, and Brian Keith; grandchildren: Nicole (TJ), Tyson (Kary Lyn), Brittiany (Jesse), Heather (Dustin), Mack, Taylor, Alex, Clint, Caleb, Kaylee, Caitlyn (Tyler), Kelsey (Kendell), Cody, Ashley, and Gunnar; great-grandchildren: Carson, Tucker, Jace, Boden, Duncan, Heidi, and Jed; sister Lois Ballinger and numerous nieces and nephews, other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Cameron, two infant children Danny and Tracey, parents Lloyd & Helen Walker, brother Ford, sisters Pat and June, sister-in-law Dawn and brothers-in-law Wayne and Harry.
