Joyce Ann (Krefting-Wilson) Klaus
March 26, 1933 – May 22, 2018
Joyce Klaus passed away at the age of 85 years on May 22, 2018 in Red Deer, Alberta. Joyce was born in Red Deer and was raised on a farm near Asker by her father Martin Krefting. Joyce married Herbert Wilson and had 8 children: Linda, Joanne, Marty, Brenda, Martha, Debbie, Jamie and John.
Joyce married Alfred Klaus in December 1981. When Alfred passed away March 5, 2013 Joyce moved a year later to Red Deer, Alberta where she spent her last year in Bethany Long Term Care Facility with dementia.
Survived by her 8 children: Linda Wilson, Joanne (Joe) St. Amant, Marty (Debbie) Wilson, Brenda (Len) Schultz, Martha (Tom) Ghostkeeper, Debbie (Doug) Side, Jamie (Neil) Foley, John (Joanne) Wilson; step-children: Ronnie (Carol) Klaus, Danny (Audrey) Benjamin; 36 grandchildren 38 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephew’s other relatives and many dear friends.
Joyce was predeceased by Martin Krefting (father), Herbert Wilson (1st husband), Alfred Klaus (2nd husband) and Ken Draganiuk (son-in-law).
A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at Asker Lutheran Church with Pastor Ted Hill officiating on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 1:00 P.M.
