Obituary of Wendy Louise Barclay

Wendy Louise (Lovig) Barclay was born January 15, 1964 in Wainwright, Alberta the third child, a daughter to Orville and Shirley Lovig. Wendy grew up in Irma with her two older sisters Brenda and Rita and her younger brother Blaine. Wendy attended Irma School until moving to Stettler in her teenage years. Wendy met the love of her life (her everything) Terry Barclay in 1980, they were later married on March 21, 1981. Wendy and Terry were blessed with their first child, a beautiful daughter Shianna Carole on March 18, 1982; two years later they were blessed with their second beautiful daughter, Tammy Lynn on October 28, 1984. Prior to becoming a waitress, a job she did for many years, Wendy sold Tupperware and helped out on the farm. She loved to cut grass, took pride in her garden and really loved being outside. She loved to decorate for every holiday, but Halloween and Christmas were her favorites. She really enjoyed camping, playing games, singing karaoke, family Sundays at the farm, she also enjoyed playing bean bags and just enjoyed everyone’s company. Wendy and Terry were blessed with three beautiful grandchildren: Jesse, Chloe and Jaden, who were her pride and joy and she loved them dearly. Also her ‘Granddog’ Harley who she loved very much and always took him for many sleepovers. Wendy is survived by her husband Terry; her daughters Shianna (Ryan) Fenske and Tammy (Doug) Hemphill; three grandchildren: Jesse Fenske and Chloe and Jaden Hemphill; her father Orville Lovig; her mother in law Carole Barclay; her sisters Brenda (Tom) McNally and Rita Lewis (Doug); sisters in law Cathy Lovig and Vicki (Wes) Anderson; brother in law Ricky (Kristine) Barclay; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other family and dear friends. Wendy was predeceased by her mother Shirley Lovig, brother Blaine Lovig, father in law Dale Barclay, brother in law Ed Lewis and nephew Chris Barclay.
