Denny --------- we are so sorry for your loss. Carolyn fought a long, hard battle with cancer which gave her a little more time with you, her garden and all the things she loved.

“Crykey”, (A favourite saying of Carolyn) We are so sad to hear about the loss of Carolyn and your long time partner and best friend. Yes, she was a wonderful and dedicated educator. Her love of nature was very much part of her character. Gail loved all the walks above Riverdale with the dogs. Like her dog, she had unbounded energy in everything she undertook to do. You can take a great deal of solace in that the two of you spent so much quality time together in work and play i.e. your world travels.
Mike Craigen
It is with sadness we say goodbye to Carolyn, a friendly, cheerful soul. I have great memories of teaching grade one alongside Carolyn at Jack Hulland School starting in 1975 when I moved to Whitehorse. We shared many teaching ‘moments’, ideas and strategies while car pooling from Riverdale to Porter Creek. She was a master teacher, loved by the children in her care and highly respected by her peers.

We are so sorry for your loss Denny and all the families. She was the best Kindergarten teacher ever. She was on a couple of the tours Parkland Nursery in Red Deer would offer and we would have a little chat as we walked around other people's yards oohing and aweing as we sniffed every beautiful flower. Good memories of her.

Carolyn, it has been an honour to have been your classmates at U of A, colleagues in Inuvik and Whitehorse, and friends through the decades. We know that here are hundreds of students out there who thank you for the loving kindness and guidance that you provided as their very first teacher. You successfully built your life to a well laid plan, one can ask no more than that. Great job Carolyn!
Condolences to Den and all family members.
